My name is Carme (the Catalan version of Carmen), English pronunciation kär'mē.
A long, long time ago I studied Law at the University of Barcelona, and in the last 15 years I've worked as: a Manager of a Communication Department, an Event Organiser, a Community Manager, a Web Designer, and for the last 5 years teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
In order to develop my skills as a teacher, I studied at the Instituto Cervantes in London, as well as taking online courses to help me to feel more confident and to be as helpful as possible to my students.
Through time, two things have always been constant in my life: my passion for creativity and for the learning process.
My passion for learning has subsequently given me a lot of pleasure in the teaching process. I enjoy being involved in my students' moments of success, as much as I enjoy helping, encouraging and giving support when they´re in moments of difficulty.
Witnessing the improvements of my students gives me fuel to carry on improving myself in this field.
The richness of this job is that I learn from my students as much as they learn from me. It is really rewarding!
When I am not teaching, I am learning or dancing Argentine Tango. When this is not possible, I relax by sewing, improving my computer technology skills or watching films. The sea, the countryside, and my bike give me great moments too, and a good book next to me is always welcome.
